General Volunteer Policies

Love Irvine welcomes volunteers of all ages and values the participation of individuals, families, and community groups. Age requirements may vary by activity, based on safety and program needs. These requirements will always be clearly noted in each volunteer opportunity description.

All volunteers are required to have a signed waiver on file prior to participating. In some cases, additional documentation may be required to comply with the programs we support in partnership with other organizations.

We reserve the right to adjust age and supervision guidelines as needed to ensure a safe, supportive, and appropriate experience for all participants.

Weather Policy
Most volunteer events are held rain or shine, including monthly food distributions and packing opportunities. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring any necessary items (such as hats, jackets, sunscreen, or rain gear) to stay comfortable and safe throughout your service.

Dress Code
When available, volunteers are encouraged to wear a Love Irvine t-shirt as ambassadors of our mission and community impact. We ask that all volunteers follow a respectful and practical dress code: Conservative attire appropriate for a community service environment, no crop tops or overly revealing clothing, pants or shorts of appropriate length, and closed-toed shoes are required for safety

You are part of the team—and we are grateful to serve alongside you.

Waivers & Required Documentation
All volunteers must have a signed waiver on file prior to participating in any Serve Love Irvine activity. Depending on the specific program or partner organization, additional documentation may be required in order to comply with operational, safety, or partnership requirements.
