SANDWICHES FROM THE HEART BREAKS THEIR RECORD!

One of the most meaningful aspects of Love Irvine’s Citywide Serve Day is seeing individuals and organizations unite around a shared purpose, serving our community. This year at our 5th Annual Citywide Serve Day, we witnessed our community serve Sandwiches from the Heart, resulting in a record-breaking number of sandwiches assembled.

Over 938 Sandwiches Assembled in One Session!

Yes, you read that right. With the help of dedicated volunteers from across Irvine, Sandwiches from the Heart assembled over 938 sandwiches in a single session, the most they’ve ever completed at one time! These sandwiches were then distributed to those experiencing food insecurity in Orange County.

Who Are Sandwiches from the Heart?

Sandwiches from the Heart is a nonprofit that brings people together to fight food insecurity one sandwich at a time. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to make a difference in the lives of those in Orange County, California, who are food insecure. 

Why It Matters

This kind of impact is why Citywide Serve Day exists. Our goal at Love Irvine is to create “Everyone in Community,” a city where people not only live together, but serve, care, and grow together. By partnering with amazing organizations like Sandwiches from the Heart, we’re not only meeting practical needs, we’re cultivating a stronger, more unified Irvine.
