WHAT’S A PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR CITYWIDE SERVE DAY
Every year, hundreds of Irvine residents come together for Love Irvine’s Citywide Serve Day — a chance to make a tangible difference in our city through meaningful service projects. But did you know you can help shape the day by submitting a project proposal?
Here’s what that means (and why you don’t need to be a nonprofit leader to lead a project!):
What is a Project Proposal?
A project proposal is simply a volunteer opportunity that serves others in Irvine and is created and organized by a community leader. Whether it’s helping a neighbor in need, organizing a clean-up, assembling care kits, or supporting a local nonprofit, your idea could become one of the many projects happening across the city on November 8, 2025.
Love Irvine reviews each proposal to ensure it’s safe, doable, and aligned to bless our community.
Who Can Submit One?
Anyone! You don’t have to be a church leader or run an organization. If you’re someone who loves Irvine and has a heart to help, we want to hear from you.
Past project leaders have included:
Teachers, parents, and youth groups
Nonprofit leaders
Local businesses and clubs
Individuals who are passionate about a need of the city and want to meet it
What Makes a Good Project?
The best projects are:
Simple: Easy to plan and execute
Community-focused: Helping real people or places in Irvine
Team-friendly: Can be done with 10–100 volunteers
Safe and age-appropriate
